As a student-run organization, Odd-Hours was operated in coffee shops, backyards, and quasi-legal spaces, during whatever spare time we could conjure. The original name was "We're Really Trying Theater Company," until the venture became big enough to warrant a more serious title. Wanting to preserve the identity of a company biting off more than they could chew and flying by the seat of its pants, Odd-Hours is both chaotic and professional. Sans-serif juxtaposed against script, italicized letters imply constant motion, while crammed together and teetering on the edge of falling apart.
By a Thread is a show composed of three micro-plays, intertwined by themes of human connection, featuring movement pieces involving a ball of yarn.
